Sechel is a Yiddish term which translates, roughly, to common sense or knowledge.  The purpose of this blog is to help those who care about Israel to better understand the importance of Israel, its struggles, its successes and its failings.  Furthermore, and importantly, this blog attempts to elucidate why Israel matters -- and should matter -- so much to Jews the world over.
